Chris T-T is an English songwriter. He’s made five full-length studio albums, one live collection and a pile of singles and EPs. His current release, Capital (Xtra Mile Recordings, March 2008) completes a trilogy of works themed around London, along with previous albums The 253 (2001) and London Is Sinking (2003). |
Chris is married and lives in Brighton on the south coast. DO PEOPLE LIKE HIM?Critics like him a lot (see the press quotes) and he’s got strong alternative radio support. He’s played numerous sessions on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 3, BBC6Music, BBC Radio Ulster, Resonance FM, LBC, Selector for the British Council and various regional stations. GIGS His support CV includes Ben Folds, British Sea Power, The Divine Comedy, Elbow, Bellowhead, Tom Robinson, Brakes, Electric Soft Parade, KT Tunstall, Quasi, Emma Pollock (Delgados), Jim Bob (Carter USM), Carter USM, author Iain Sinclair, Madrugada, Hefner, Robyn Hitchcock, Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue) and many others. In 2004, Chris joined the Tom Robinson Band for Tom’s annual Castaway Party at Battersea Arts Centre. In 2006/7, Chris was Jim Bob’s piano accompanist on his ‘School’ tour. OTHER STUFF He has also taken part in debates and panels at SOAS and for Brighton Live, read short stories on Resonance FM, written childrens’ poetry for the BBC’s Jackanory website and curated an evening of political documentaries at Greenwich Film Festival. In 2006 and 2007 Chris presented (and self-produced) a live weekly Saturday afternoon radio programme for Essex-based community station Phoenix FM and during the same period he was house DJ at Brighton’s Be A Ham club nights.
